Open Flame Common Fuels
Naphtha (aka white gas, Coleman’s fuel)
Class 1 fuel that is commonly used.
High vapor pressure and low flash point mean rapid evaporation, easy evacuation, rapid ignition, and capacity to burn on any surface.
Requires vapor-limiting containers at all times, standing fuels produce dangerous vapor clouds in enclosed spaces.
Somewhat toxic burn residue require ample ventilation for shows over 5-10 minutes.
