Principally involved with protecting the performer from the audience.
Often needed when the audience is unrestrained by venue topology, particularly when alcohol is being served.
Should be trained in audience management, lost wick retrieval, and extinguishing methods.
Additional training, like first responder, venue extinguishing, burn care, etc., is helpful.
