- This space is entirely legal. We have permits from the CC parks and
Fire departments for Wednesday nights. People have put up their insurance to make it happen, and are ultimately
responsible for the event. They make the rules.
- By attending Burn Club, you accept the rules below and are expected
to help enforce them.
|
- The fire permit requires that one of the permit holders be present, and
that fire extinguishers are available.
- All fuel will be taken directly to the fuel area upon arrival. At
the end of the night, fuel should be removed directly to your car, no
stops.
- Each fire act must have a spotter. Multi-performer interactive routines
count as one act.
- Each performer is expected to insure their own spotter,
do not assume current spotters will do it.
- First, or only, spotter must stand between the fuel area and the flame.
- Spinout zone on the east side of the courts, south side, or as designated.
- Practice areas are on the east side of the courts and in the playground.
- Spinout area, fuel area and east side of courts are designated non-smoking
zones.
- Photographers must secure permission to shoot from each performer, each time they light up.
- When in doubt, we follow the NAFAA.org performers guidelines for safety.
Other things to keep in mind...
- Duvy and extinguisher are provided, but extras are always welcomed.
- We are required to leave the area in approximately the same condition as we found it. Pick up after yourself and leave no trace.
- We do not encourage spectators, this is a practice jam, not a performance.
- Finally, the weekly parks permit and the annual fire permit cost
money. Donations from all participants help keep this service running.
A small wood donation box can be found on the picnic tables nearest
the courts, or you can donate online.
